Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Chrometrics Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 14860931, which operates Roomlyn at roomlyn.com. By creating an account or using Roomlyn you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Roomlyn. If you are using the service for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with Google or a magic link — there is no password to manage. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, because whoever controls your inbox can sign in. Your email address is your identity with us; we don't support changing it in-app — to use a different address, export your data, delete the account and sign up again. You can delete your account at any time from your Account page.

The service & AI output

Roomlyn uses AI to edit photographs of rooms and spaces. Output is generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies, artefacts or unrealistic details. It is provided for design inspiration only and is not professional architectural, structural, engineering, interior-design or safety advice. Do not rely on it for construction, measurements, load-bearing changes or safety decisions. We may change, add or remove features, and we may use different AI models over time.

Tokens, plans & allowances

Editing consumes tokens. One successful edit costs one token. You get tokens two ways:

Free tier — a small allowance of tokens when you sign up, topped up periodically. Outputs on the free tier carry a Roomlyn watermark until you make a purchase.
Subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Studio) — each includes a monthly token allowance. The allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle and does not roll over; unused monthly tokens are lost at renewal. Pro and Studio remove the watermark and unlock pro features.
Top-up packs — subscribers who exhaust their monthly allowance can buy additional tokens. Purchased top-up tokens do not expire on renewal and are kept separate from the monthly allowance.

When you edit, your monthly allowance is used first, then any purchased tokens. If an edit fails for a technical reason on our side, the token is automatically returned to you.

Payments, pricing & VAT

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. Prices shown to consumers are inclusive of VAT where VAT applies. As a UK VAT-registered business (VAT no. GB 440 539 407), we charge UK VAT at the applicable rate on UK consumer sales, and local VAT on EU consumer sales; VAT-registered business customers who provide a valid VAT number may be zero-rated under the reverse charge. A VAT receipt is available for every payment. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes don't affect a subscription period you've already paid for.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your Account page via the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Because tokens deliver a digital service immediately, once a token is used it is non-refundable. Your content & the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the photos you upload and, as between you and us, of the edited images you create. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit and display your content solely to operate and provide the service to you (including sending it to our AI processing sub-processors). This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups or records we're required to keep. You confirm you have the rights to every image you upload and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or privacy.

Ownership of outputs

Subject to your paying any amounts due and complying with these terms, we assign to you whatever rights we may have in the edited images you generate, so you may use them for personal or commercial purposes. We make no warranty that AI-generated output is free of third-party rights, and you remain responsible for how you use it.

Acceptable use

You must use Roomlyn lawfully and only for redesigning spaces. In particular you must not upload photos that are primarily of identifiable people, upload content you don't have the rights to, or generate unlawful, infringing or harmful content. Full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. We screen uploads and reject images that are primarily of people or otherwise out of scope.

Availability & liability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service and all output are provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from your reliance on AI output. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your non-excludable statutory consumer rights.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post the new date here and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law & disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
